The Bildmuseet is a creative workplace with around twenty employees. Together, we conduct a public exhibition and program activity focused on international contemporary art. We produce and display exhibitions of the highest quality in collaboration with artists and art museums around the world. Job Responsibilities

The museum host is responsible for the hospitality towards Bildmuseet's visitors. The work includes staffing the museum's reception and shop, answering questions and providing information about exhibitions and programs, conducting guided tours for groups in both Swedish and English, and providing service to museum visitors. The responsibilities also include creating and publishing posts on Bildmuseet's social media, as well as overseeing ongoing exhibitions and performing alarm and security routines in the building. Additionally, other tasks within the organization may arise.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is pursuing or has completed higher education studies in art, architecture, pedagogy, design, culture, or museology. You have knowledge of and interest in contemporary art and visual culture, as well as experience in hospitality, information, and reception work at a larger art institution. You also have experience in conducting guided tours and working with social media. We seek someone who is ambitious, flexible, and has good collaborative skills. You are service-oriented, pedagogical, and can express yourself well verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

We are looking for four museum hosts for the period 260608-260809 (summer temporary positions). The employment scope is 70%, and weekend work is included in the schedule.
